ArtsHop is Friday December 2
talk starts at 6:30pm
Chicago history, comic book shop history, a few haunted Chicago stories and his own comic book Visitations will be the topics in Scott Larson’s second discussion here at the old Variety Comics Shop. Esquina took the space over in June of 2016 and will display the old wood panels of superheroes from past decades as part of the evenings event. Scott will talk about everything from Comic Con to the history of comic shops in Chicago from the early 1970s to today. He will also be selling his own comic book, Visitations, and discussing the inspiration for the series.
Bring your own comic books and stories to show and share. Scott Larson will be selling his comics at the event as part of the Lincoln Square ArtsHop happening at various venues for the neighborhood’s First Friday event . Doors open at 5pm, discussion at 6:30pm. Bring your cameras and get some photos of these historic comic panels!
